DRUM MAKING 2010
These drums were hand crafted and painted by students of Lakes District Secondary School. The drums were constructed from elk hide and beetle-stricken lodge pole pine puchased from the Cheslatta Carrier Nation. In tradional fashion, students had stretched elk hides over the frame hoops before hand painting each drum. Each student personalized their respected drum by selecting a motif that was significant or symbolic to them on some level. Listen and look carefully, the drums may take you on a journey.
- Let the drums play on.
