GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Grade 10-12
80 credits (equivalent to twenty 4-credit courses) required for graduation
48 credits are Required Courses, including:
English 10 (4 credits)
English 11 or Communications 11 (4 credits)
English 12 or Communications 12(4 credits)
Social Studies 10 (4 credits)
Social Studies 11, Canadian Civics 11 or BC First Nations Studies 12 (4 credits)****
Science 10 (4 credits)
a Science 11 (4 credits)
a Mathematics 10 (4 credits)
a Mathematics 11 (4 credits)
Physical Education 10 (4 credits)

Minimum of 16 credits at the Grade 12 level including English 12. All Ministry-authorized and Board/Authority-Authorized courses count.
CURRICULUM
Students must complete 30 hours of work experience or community service as part of the Transitional plan.
Applied Skills and Fine Arts
4 credits required in Fine Arts and/or Applied Skills at any time during Grade 10, 11 or 12.
Physical Education
Physical Education 10 is required for all students.
To graduate students are also required to meet a provincial standard for physical activity. Each student must demonstrate at least 80 hours (total) of physical activity in grade 11 and 12.
EXAMS
Except for the English12 & FNS 12 exams, all other Grade 12 exams are optional. Not writing a provincial exam may limit acceptance to universities or colleges. Please see a counsellor for more information.
